Your Mac isn’t here? The dock doesn’t fit the MacBook Pro 13-inch, the MacBook Pro with Touch Bar (2016–2020) or the MacBook Air from 2020 or earlier (including the M1 MacBook Air).

It fits today’s models, up to the 14-inch MacBook Pro with M6, the MacBook Pro with M5 Pro or M5 Max and the MacBook Air with M5. Every 14-inch MacBook Pro with the Liquid Retina XDR display from 2021 to 2026 has the same body, so one dock has fitted six chip generations.

The MacBook Pro with PROLED XDR (OLED) display, announced in October 2026, has a thinner and smaller body. The docks are not compatible with it.

Yes, if both are the same size and line in the list above: for example a 2021 M1 Pro and a 2024 M4 MacBook Pro 14-inch share one dock. Swap them in and out; everything stays plugged in. A 14-inch and a 16-inch need different docks.

No. The slot is shaped to the bare MacBook, so a case or shell stops it from sliding in. Take the case off before docking.

Two or more on every MacBook it fits, except the MacBook Air with M2, which supports one. The dock connects straight to your Mac’s own ports, so you get the displays your chip supports with the lid closed:

• MacBook Air with M2 (13-inch and 15-inch): one external display.
• MacBook Air with M3, M4 or M5: two external displays with the lid closed.
• MacBook Pro 14-inch with the base M3, M4, M5 or M6 chip: two with the lid closed.
• MacBook Pro 14-inch and 16-inch with Pro or Max chips: two to four, depending on the chip.

Check your Mac in Apple’s tech specs. An HDMI monitor needs a USB-C to HDMI cable or adapter (not included).

Your Apple charger, a USB-C or Thunderbolt monitor, and USB-C accessories such as a hub or adapter, an external drive, a keyboard or a mouse. You plug them in once; after that you just slide your Mac in.

On the back are 2 USB-C ports (Thunderbolt 4 compatible, up to 40 Gbps) and a MagSafe port, connected straight to the ports on your Mac’s left side. Cables and adapters are sold separately.

Because it connects your MacBook’s own ports to the cables at the back, so the dock stays slim and you choose the connections your desk needs. Need HDMI, Ethernet or USB-A? Plug your hub or adapter into the dock once, as you would into your Mac.

You add only the adapters your setup uses (a USB-C to HDMI adapter costs about $15), and they can sit under the desk, out of sight. Get a new monitor that uses DisplayPort? Swap a $15–20 adapter instead of buying a new dock.

1. Plug your Apple charger (MagSafe or USB-C) and your monitor or hub cable into the ports at the back of the dock. You do this once.
2. Hold your closed MacBook by its side, hinge edge down, with the Apple logo on the same side as the “ascrono” wordmark.
3. Slide it into the slot until the green light comes on.

To take your MacBook with you, pull it out the same way. Every cable stays on your desk.

Open System Settings → Privacy & Security and set Allow accessories to connect to Always. Your MacBook then connects to the dock and everything plugged into it every time you slide it in.

You use your own Apple charger, cables, monitor, keyboard and mouse: your Mac works with its lid closed in the dock.

No. It works with the lid closed, on your external monitor, keyboard and mouse. Slide it out whenever you need the laptop.

When it’s asleep, press a key or click to wake it. Use Sleep rather than Shut Down while it’s docked.

No. Your MacBook stands upright with air on both sides, and the dock’s vent lines up with the MacBook Pro’s vents.

The user guide is in the box with your Ascrono® product. It’s usually the first thing you see when you open the box. For some products, video instructions are available on our instructions page.

1. Set System Settings → Privacy & Security → Allow accessories to connect to Always, then slide your MacBook out and dock it again.
2. Check that your Apple charger is plugged into the dock: with the lid closed, your MacBook uses power to run the external monitor.
3. Plug your monitor or hub straight into one of the dock’s two USB-C ports.

Solid green: your MacBook is docked and connected to power or a USB-C accessory. Blinking green: the dock has power and is connecting; give it a few seconds or slide the MacBook out and in again. Off: check that the charger is plugged into the dock.

Use Sleep while your MacBook is docked and wake it with a key on your keyboard. To shut it down, slide it out first.

Turn the dock so its open side faces your router (on a MacBook Pro 14-inch, the lower vent toward the router). The signal comes back within seconds.

EU and UK: no. Orders ship from local stock or via DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) services, so all duties are paid upfront and you don’t pay customs or import fees.

US: no. Every US order ships from within the US, so there are no import duties.

Australia: the tax and declaration-free import threshold (De Minimis) is 1,000 AUD.

US: every US order ships from within the US.

Other countries: if we are out of stock locally, or we don’t have a warehouse in your country, the order ships internationally. In that case the shipping method at checkout contains the word “International”, and you see an estimated shipping time there.

Every Ascrono product comes with a 1-year limited warranty for the original buyer, and the dock has an optional 2-year extended warranty. To claim, email support@ascrono.com with your order number, the serial number and a photo or short video of the issue.

Bought the extended warranty? Register it with your serial number within 60 days of purchase.

After your order is dispatched you receive emails with the tracking number and status updates. You can also track your order here: Track your order.

If you haven’t received any updates or have a question about your order, email support@ascrono.com and we’ll help you track it.

Email support@ascrono.com as soon as possible. We typically process orders within 12–24 hours (sometimes faster). If your order has not been packed or shipped yet, we can update the address for you.

Once the order has shipped, we can’t change the shipping address.

Pick a tray about 50 to 70% of your desk’s width: under 39 in (99 cm) Mini, 39 to 56 in (99 to 142 cm) Regular, 57 to 76 in (145 to 193 cm) Large, 77 in (196 cm) and wider Extra-Large. Between sizes? Pick the smaller one. See the tray

With the clamps (no drilling) or the screws; both are in the box. The clamps fit desks up to 1.6 in (4.1 cm) thick, in wood, glass or metal. If monitor-arm clamps sit where the tray’s clamps would go, use the screws.

The tray is 3.9 in (10 cm) wide and 4.7 in (12 cm) high: a power strip, large power bricks and lots of cables. 10 cable ties and 6 adhesive cable ties are included.
